Did you know that chances
are one in five that you will suffer from a mental illness
at some time in your life? |

|
 |
There
are thousands of stories about the devastating effects of mental illness
inflicting people living right here in your community: A bright young
student, whose life and academic career is immobilized by the overwhelming
anxiety of taking exams. A prestigious University Professor whose
career is ended with the late onset of Paranoid Schizophrenia. A mother
who has a psychotic break following the death of her husband and is
hospitalized only to find her children have been removed from her
care.
There are many more stories to tell, but, the reality is that mental
illness can afflict anyone and the demand on Salus' services is increasing
rapidly - Here's how you can help...

Ever wonder how to recognize a special day or what
to give a person that has everything? Why not mark a special occasion
such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or holiday with a donation
gift. Salus will send an occasion specific card to the person you
indicate to be notified of the gift.
Gifts can be made in memory of a loved one or friend.
The family of the deceased will be informed of your generous donation.
Many people choose to make future gifts from their
estates. A charitable Will Bequest is a direction you make in your
Will that instructs your executor to leave one or more of your assets
to a charitable organization. The Bequest can be cash, securities
(stocks or bonds), real estate, or other tangible personal property.
Your estate, in turn, will receive a tax receipt, which is applied
to the final income tax return. Ottawa Salus Corporation recommends
that you consult your lawyer or real estate planner regarding the
specific wording of any charitable Will Bequests.
